Anara London — Est. February 2018
She is a little girl twirling in her Afghan dress. She is an elegant woman who owns every room she walks into. She is anyone who loves their culture.
That is Anara. And that is who we make for.
Anara London was founded in February 2018, born from a love of handcraft, heritage, and the quiet determination of women who carry their roots with them — no matter how far from home they go.
Born in Russia. Raised in the Netherlands. Made in London.
The founder of Anara London has never lived in just one place. Born in Russia, raised in the Netherlands, and shaped by years in London — she has always been someone who carries Afghanistan with her, not in a passport, but in the way she sees beauty, craft, and clothing.
That feeling — of being deeply rooted in a culture while living far from its soil — is what Anara London was built to honour. Every piece we create is an act of remembering. Of celebrating. Of saying: this is where I come from, and I am proud of it.
The mother who found her purpose.
A few years into the journey, someone very special became part of Anara London. Her mother — an immigrant woman who had spent the better part of her life quietly pouring herself into her family — found something here that was entirely her own.
Watching her find that purpose, that spark, is one of the things we are most proud of. Today, Anara London is run by the two of them — a mother and daughter, across distance, connected by craft and culture and something that doesn't need a name.
Handcrafted. Always. No exceptions.
Every Anara London piece is made by hand. We work with a blend of contemporary and heritage fabrics — often weaving vintage cloth into the bodice, sleeves, and hem — so that no two garments are ever quite the same. That is not a flaw. It is the whole point.
We offer both ready-to-ship pieces and fully bespoke garments made to your measurements. Because we believe every woman deserves something made for her — not just made for everyone.
She knows clothing is never just clothing.
Our customer might be a bride. She might be dressing for Eid, for a wedding, for a moment she wants to remember forever. She might be part of the diaspora — living somewhere new, but unwilling to leave her culture behind in the way she dresses.
Whoever she is, she understands that what we wear is how we say: this is who I am. And we take that seriously.
"Anara is anyone who loves their culture. We are a small brand with a very big heart — and we are so glad you found us."
