Our returns policy varies depending on the type of piece you are purchasing. Please select what applies to your order.

🧵   A bespoke or pre-order piece+

Each bespoke piece is created entirely around you — your measurements, your choices, your vision. Because of this, made-to-order garments cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except in the case of a verified manufacturing defect.

Sizing is your responsibility. We provide detailed guidance to help you measure accurately, but selecting the wrong size or providing incorrect measurements does not qualify as a defect and cannot be the basis for a claim.

For pre-orders, once production has begun, amendments and cancellations are no longer possible. The moment your deposit is placed, your order is considered final. Should you choose to cancel, the deposit will be forfeited and any new order will require full payment.

📦   A ready-to-ship piece+

Our ready-to-ship pieces are purchased in full at the time of checkout. Once your order is placed and payment confirmed, it is considered final.

Each piece in our ready-to-ship collection is individually crafted, which means it may carry its own subtle character. Minor variations between the item you receive and the photography on our site — in tone, drape, or finish — are a natural feature of handmade garments and are not grounds for a return, refund, or exchange.

We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges on the basis of a change of mind. Please review your size and selection carefully before completing your purchase.

All ordersThe nature of our craft+

Anara London pieces are made by hand, using a blend of contemporary and heritage fabrics — often featuring vintage cloth at the bodice, sleeves, and hem. This means no two garments are identical. Subtle variations in colour, texture, and finish are an inherent and intentional part of what makes each piece yours alone.

These natural characteristics are not imperfections. They are the signature of handcraft, and they do not constitute grounds for a return or refund.

Bespoke & pre-orderDeposits & order finalisation+

For bespoke and pre-order pieces, paying a deposit confirms and finalises your order and initiates production. Should you choose to cancel after a deposit has been made, the deposit will be forfeited. Any subsequent order requires full payment at the time of placing, subject to availability and approval by Anara London Ltd.

DefectsDamage & manufacturing defects+

We take quality seriously. If your garment arrives with genuine damage or a manufacturing defect — a tear, stain, burn, or a size that significantly differs from what was confirmed at order — please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

Reach us via our website contact form or Instagram DM. Clear photographic evidence must accompany your message. We strongly recommend filming an unboxing video on receipt, as this can support your claim. Claims without evidence may not be accepted.

If a return is authorised, the item must be returned within 5 days of approval in its original condition — unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with all tags and packaging intact. Items showing wear, scent, makeup, or damage sustained during trying on will not be accepted and will be returned to you at your cost.

ReturnsReturn shipping & refund processing+

Where a return has been authorised, the cost of returning the item to us is the customer's responsibility. We do not provide prepaid return labels.

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method. Timing may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

DeliveryDelivery responsibility+

Once your order is marked as delivered by the courier, responsibility for the parcel transfers to you. Anara London Ltd is not liable for packages that are lost, stolen, or misplaced following confirmed delivery. Please ensure your delivery address is correct and that someone is available to receive your parcel. Any disputes regarding delivery should be raised directly with the courier.

Post-deliveryAlterations & fabric information+

We do not offer a post-delivery alteration service. We do not have an in-house alterations team in the UK and are unable to arrange third-party alterations on your behalf.

Full fabric and materials information is included in each product description. Please review this carefully before purchasing, particularly if you have known sensitivities to specific materials. While we source high-quality, thoughtfully chosen fabrics, Anara London Ltd cannot be held responsible for individual allergic reactions.

PolicyOur discretion+

Anara London Ltd reserves the right to decline any return or refund request that does not meet the terms of this policy, or for any other reason deemed appropriate by our management. We also reserve the right to cancel any order at any stage, for any reason. In such cases, you will be notified and any applicable refund processed in accordance with this policy.
